I Tested VIRAL TikTok Shop Gadgets - Are They a SCAM?

You guys all know how much I love reviewing products, and recently, TikTok unveiled the TikTok Shop. Since then, my For You Page has been flooded with all sorts of intriguing items. I decided to order the coolest ones I could find and see if they're as impressive as the videos claim. Here’s a rundown of my experience with several TikTok Shop gadgets.

1. Magic Flaming Fire Wallet

When you open this wallet, it’s supposed to burst into flames. It looks like an ordinary wallet, with card slots and a place for your driver's license and cash. You pour lighter fluid on specific spots and ignite it using Flint. Despite its cool concept, it only worked once for me. I ended up ranking it C tier.

2. Solar Power Charger

This gadget is meant to generate power through solar panels. It can charge your phone and watch simultaneously. I left it out for a full day and, by the end of the video, my phone was indeed charging. The solar power charger earned an A tier from me.

3. Pet Vacuum

My dog Lola sheds a lot, so I was excited to try this pet vacuum. It’s supposed to brush your pet while collecting loose hair into a container. While it did scare Lola when turned on, it was effective in gathering her hair. I gave this product a B tier.

4. Water Rocket

This rocket-launching toy connects to a hose and shoots into the air. It worked spectacularly well. Despite a couple of less impressive launches, its best attempt was thrilling enough to earn an S tier.

5. Indoor Fly Trap

Inspired by my cousin's TikTok with 50 million views, I tried this gadget to trap fruit flies using light. I set it up in my kitchen and left it for the day. By evening, however, it hadn’t caught any flies. Though it didn’t work for me, I rated it B tier based on its potential.

6. Watermelon Slicer

Designed to cut watermelon into perfect chunks, this gadget proved messy but somewhat effective. After several attempts, I managed to get cleaner cuts and rated it a B tier.

7. Paper Soap

These thin sheets dissolve in water, creating soap for on-the-go handwashing. They worked surprisingly well and smelled good too. I ranked it A tier.

8. Portable Air Pump

This tiny device can inflate objects quickly and even comes with LED lights. In a head-to-head competition with an electric pump, the portable air pump came out on top. It earned an A tier rating.

9. Mario Block Lamp

A fun, interactive lamp that makes classic Mario sounds when you hit it. It was an instant hit for me, earning an S tier due to its nostalgic appeal and functionality.

10. Puking Ball

This ball, designed to provide stress relief, releases a disgusting-looking substance when squeezed. Though it’s gross, it’s oddly satisfying. I rated it C tier.

11. Stack Attack Game

A tabletop stacking game where the first player to topple the structure loses. Everyone enjoyed it and, thanks to its fun factor, it earned an S tier.

12. Zwitch

This device is supposed to relieve headaches by reducing pressure in the head. I felt some sensation but couldn't fully test it, so I gave it a B tier.

13. Lightsaber Chopsticks

Chopsticks that light up like lightsabers. Although I’m not great at using chopsticks, the gadget was cool enough to earn an A tier.

14. Modernized Cupping Therapy

Portable cupping for muscle relief. Despite some discomfort, it felt effective and earned an A tier.

15. Foldable Washing Machine

A compact washing solution. Despite its cool appearance, it malfunctioned during use. I had to give it an F tier.

16. Spinat

This mechanized pinata works without needing to be hit. While creative, it lacks the fun of traditional pinatas. It received an A tier.

17. Ice Ball Bottle

This gadget is supposed to create ice balls for your drinks. Mine malfunctioned, but I gave it a D tier for its inventive concept.

18. Bubble Bath Mat

Turn any bathtub into a spa with this mat that produces air bubbles. It worked impressively well, earning an A tier.

19. Brightest Flashlight

Touted as the world's brightest flashlight that can also turn into a laser beam. It failed to meet expectations and received an F tier.

20. Product Recheck

The indoor fly trap was left running all day with no success, but keeping it out longer might yield better results. The solar power charger effectively charged my phone and secured its A tier status.
