I Made $70K In 30 Days Dropshipping As A Beginner (Step by Step)

Introduction

It may seem like an impossible task to earn $ 70,000 as a beginner in dropshipping within 30 days, but I'm here to tell you it's not. I started dropshipping almost a year ago, feeling lost and confused within my first months, even doubting the legitimacy of this industry at times. However, with consistency and a lot of trial and error, I was able to crack the code. This store is still making me money to this day. I’m going to go through the entire process step by step—from how I found the product, to the advertising methods I used, and some secret strategies for those looking to sell and advertise their products on TikTok.

Finding the Product

The first thing I did was to find a product. I created a burner TikTok account solely for finding products to sell. For this, you need to create a brand new TikTok account and start researching through hashtags like #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt, #AmazonFinds, and #IWantaRefund. Interact with the content to train the algorithm to show you more videos of trending products. Always make sure to filter for videos from the current month to find upcoming trends that are less saturated.

Many YouTubers advise going for products with millions of views, but I opted for something more untapped to avoid heavy competition. Ideally, you want to find new trends with a good amount of views and positive feedback, where you see demand.

I found my winning product in the women’s beauty niche, which is one of my favorite niches. I discovered it scrolling through TikTok, and it stood out because it was something I hadn’t seen before—a green flag indicating potential success. The product was new, and there weren’t many accounts running it, proving its untapped potential.

Validating the Product

To confirm my assumptions, I used DropShipTools, a website that lets you buy stores and track their sales. I found out the stores selling this product were making good money. I then went over to AliExpress to find the product and saw that the supplier sold it for as little as $ 3, while competitors were selling it for $ 20 to $ 25. This meant I could get great profit margins.

Next, I ordered the product from Amazon to start making content and created my Shopify store while waiting for the product to arrive. Although I won’t go into detail about setting up a Shopify store here, there are plenty of resources available for that.

Creating Content

Once my product arrived, it was time to make the content. Consistency is key; I aimed to post at least three times a day. Here are some tips for creating effective TikTok content:

  1. Pre-record as much content as possible in one day.
  2. Post your content on Instagram Reels as well.
  3. Research competition and recreate viral videos.
  4. Use trending sounds by exploring the TikTok music icon and playlists like TikTok Viral.
  5. Ensure your videos are of good quality—avoiding shaky, laggy, or blurry footage.
  6. Use CapCut for editing and 11 Labs for voiceovers if needed.

Patience and Consistency

The part nobody wants to hear: achieving quick success is rare. You cannot expect to try dropshipping and instantly make money. You need to study your niche and learn the game. The process involves a lot of testing and failing, which includes experimenting with ads, products, and content.

For me, although I had had previous success in dropshipping, my initial videos for this product performed poorly. The game-changer was deeply studying my niche, recreating trending hooks, and integrating them into my videos. After three weeks of minimal success, one of my videos finally went viral, earning almost 1 million views.

Turning Viral Content into Ads

I transformed my viral video into an ad by using the TikTok Ad Library. I created a test campaign for my product with a budget of $ 100 per day. Already on the first day, I made $ 250 in sales. This demonstrated that paid ads were more controllable and scalable. I increased budgets and continued scaling until reaching $ 3K days, ultimately achieving $ 69,650 in sales for the month. My profit was around $ 27K to $ 28K after costs, a result I’m very proud of.

Conclusion

I hope this article helps illustrate the strategies I used to make $ 70K in 30 days as a beginner in dropshipping. Remember to stay consistent, study your niche, and be patient with the process. If you have any questions or need help, feel free to reach out through Instagram.
