In my latest Pokémon Black 2 Nuzlocke challenge, I took on a unique and fun twist—using a TikTok filter to select my entire team. This added a layer of unpredictability and excitement to the game. Here’s how my adventure unfolded.

The challenge was thrown down by Kus, who spurred me on to take a leap of faith with a TikTok filter-chosen team. The journey started off quite smoothly as I made my way through various battles without too much trouble. By the time I reached Nimbasa City, Schnitzel, one of my Pokémon, had evolved, and I was ready to face off against what was probably going to be my toughest opponent yet: Gym Leader Elesa and her Electric-type Pokémon.

Nimbasa City Gym Battle

Elesa led with Emolga, and I decided to send out Schnitzel. Right off the bat, Emolga hit Schnitzel with Volt Switch, which forced Elesa to bring out Flaaffy. I took this opportunity to use Bulk Up and then Wake-Up Slap, dealing significant damage to Flaaffy. However, Schnitzel got paralyzed due to Flaaffy's Static ability. On the bright side, this activated Schnitzel's Guts ability, which boosted its attack stat.

Knowing Elesa’s strategy, I anticipated another Volt Switch from Flaaffy and used Rock Throw, which took down Emolga in a single hit when it switched back in. Flaaffy returned to the battle, and as expected, used Volt Switch again, leaving Schnitzel on just 2 HP. Ze Striker was next, but I was prepared. I used Low Kick, which defeated it in one hit.

Switching Tactics

Schnitzel was barely hanging on, so I switched to Truffles. Elesa used a Hyper Potion on Flaaffy, so I decided to use Arm Thrust, although it didn’t do as much damage as I hoped. A second Static activation led to Truffles getting paralyzed. Undeterred, I used Flame Charge, which brought Flaaffy down to low health. One more Flame Charge finished the job, securing me the fourth Gym Badge.

This victory was a crucial milestone in the Nuzlocke challenge, showing that even a randomly chosen team could triumph with the right strategy and some well-placed predictions.
