I Bought SCAMS From TikTok Shop

Introduction

TikTok Shop is taking over the internet. You cannot scroll on TikTok for longer than 2 seconds without finding an ad for TikTok Shop. Apparently, they're selling some pretty cool stuff, but we're going to put that to the test ourselves. Is TikTok Shop really any good?

So, we're on TikTok Shop right now. I'm seeing a custom gaming PC for $ 480. I don't know if that's correct or not, but that's really cheap. I'm also seeing some wireless AirPod Max lookalikes for $ 12. There are wireless chargers, iPhone cases, and other accessories. The stuff on TikTok Shop looks pretty good, and the prices are really, really cheap. For example, a PC for $ 75? Something's not right here. A fake Apple Watch for $ 20, AirPod Pros for $ 280… I have a feeling most of the Apple products on here are fake. A one-piece zoom digital compact camera for $ 32? I'm smelling scam all over this. An Apple Watch 8 Ultra for $ 16? We have to buy this. There's no way. A brand new Apple iPhone 14 Plus for $ 480? There's no way. We have to add this to our cart. All of this stuff is just way too good to be true.

We placed a ton of orders, so let's see what we actually get.

2 Weeks Later

All our TikTok Shop products came in. The first thing we have is the HK9 Pro, which is, in other words, a fake smartwatch. Oh shoot, I paid $ 72 for this. That was actually not that cheap—that's kind of a lot. I hope this works. The HK9 Pro… wow. Apple, I've never seen a fake Apple Watch like this before. It's legitimately metal, with good-quality stuff right there. Are you seeing this? This looks exactly like my real Apple Watch. Is it going to turn on? Oh, there we go. HK9 Pro, baby. Look at the wallpaper—they replicated the Apple Watch Ultra. Wow, this looks great. Like, the screen looks so crispy and with so much screen space. It's very comparable. Actually, it looks better than my real Apple Watch. It's brighter and the apps look very real. $ 72 for this? I'm giving this a big 10 out of 10.

The next thing I got were some headphones, but I accidentally ordered two. These headphones were $ 4, which is why I bought them—not for the best quality, but for the price. If these work well and are $ 4, it's game over. Wait. Don't judge a book by its cover, guys. Why did I order two? Here are our $ 4 headphones. How can they make a profit selling something for $ 4? Maybe it costs 20 cents to manufacture? I'm already jamming. They work and sound pretty good. Dude, they sound great. For $ 4, this is a win. Big thumbs up.

Next, we got a diffuser—it came a little busted, just a little bit. Wait, sorry. It's a humidifier, not a diffuser. It cost $ 3.70. Why is everything so cheap? Moment of truth… Wait, we didn't get scammed. It's a rainbow! This is so sick and cool. How does it work? What's the point of the humidifier? It's not working... oh wait, it is! You see that steam? It feels fresh. This is another 10 out of 10.

Next, we have an LED display bracelet, the new trend. I spent $ 12 on this bracelet. If you want to be like the cool kids, this is it. It’s a kind of activity tracker. To be honest, I don’t know why I bought that. I'm giving it a meh.

Next, we got a giant gummy bear pop socket, which is adorable. Then, I got an AirPod case that looks like a camera for $ 2.40. It’s interesting but works as expected. I also bought another smartwatch, the Apple Watch Ultra, for $ 32. It looks like all other fake Ultras I've seen before. It’s just a generic smartwatch. So if you’re asking, it's an underwhelming 5 out of 10.

We also tried some AirPods Pro 4 for $ 12. At first glance, they are tiny and cute but, sadly, they don’t work with the phone at all. Zero out of ten for this one.

Another item was a $ 4 alarm clock. It’s basic and looks better in the dark. For $ 4, I'd say it’s worth it.

I ordered an Oculus set for $ 86, but they canceled the order and refunded my money. Too good to be true.

Finally, the big one: the Apple iPhone 14 Plus for $ 480. It came, looking like an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I doubted it at first, but we set it up, and it’s actually an iPhone 14 Plus. We saved a lot of money on this purchase. TikTok Shop might have its perks, but still, it's kind of sketchy.
