How to View and Use TikTok Analytics (Tutorial)
Viewing Your Analytics
From your profile screen, you want to click on the three bars at the top right-hand corner. Then, choose "Creator tools" followed by "Analytics" at the top.
If you haven't turned on analytics yet, you won't get any of this data. Also, note that you will only start to receive video analytics 24 hours after a video is posted.
Navigating the Analytics Section
When you first open up your video analytics, it will show you your seven-day totals. To get a more comprehensive view, I personally like to change it to 60 days, so I can analyze a larger data set.
Important Metrics to Monitor
Follower Demographics
An important category to examine is your follower demographics. This can give you insights into your audience and help tailor your content to their preferences.
Individual Video Analytics
You'll also want to look at individual video analytics. For instance, one of my videos has over a million views.
Understanding Retention Rate
Why did it perform so well? If you look at the retention rate, I retained over 50% of my audience even by the 15-second mark. Conversely, another video didn't receive as many views because I lost almost 50% of my audience by the third second. As opposed to the successful video where 50% of my audience was still watching at 15 seconds.
