How To Use TikTok To Grow Your Business & GO VIRAL!

Introduction

Hey valuable family! Today, I’m going to share with you my secret to cracking the TikTok algorithm. When I say “cracked,” I mean that my small business page gets between 100K to over a million views per video. This formula has worked for me and for other businesses and creators across various niches. Let’s get into the details!

My TikTok Success

Look at my recent videos. The first two videos don’t have 100K views yet because they were just posted today. With 463K followers, my engagement is amazing. I’ve seen users with millions of followers not get this level of engagement. Some people assume they’re shadow-banned, but that’s not the issue.

A lot of my videos range from 100K to over a million views. One video even hit 6.5 million views! Here’s the simple video that achieved that milestone:

What happens if you drop the boba babies?

Who are we gonna drop?

He’s okay.

That’s it—6.5 million views for that! And the sales from that video were insane. I’ll show you the U.S.-only analytics for that day and the following day. My products are only shipped within the U.S. for now, and even then, the results are impressive.

The Secret to Going Viral

1. Focus on Kids-Friendly Content

TikTok is different from other apps. Many kids aren’t on Instagram or other platforms as much as TikTok. Your tone and presentation can make a video kid-friendly. This doesn’t mean you need to sell kid products. Most of my customers are 21 and older.

The key is that kids are more likely to interact with your content—commenting, liking, etc. This interaction helps your video gain traction on the For You Page.

2. Use Your Voice

Instead of just using songs, I use my own voice in my videos. This makes them stand out. Although showing your face can be effective, it’s not necessary—your voice can be enough to create a personal touch.

3. Avoid Guilt-Tripping

In TikTok’s early days, small businesses often guilt-tripped viewers into buying their products. Avoid this. Be professional and positive. Act as though you’re getting sales even if you aren’t—creating a sense of urgency can motivate potential buyers.

4. Join the Creator Fund

Contrary to belief, joining the TikTok Creator Fund does not impact your engagement negatively. I’ve been part of it since hitting 10K followers, and my engagement hasn’t dipped. It’s an additional source of passive income.

5. Prioritize Good Lighting

I record my TikToks around 6 or 7 PM when the natural light is perfect. Excellent lighting makes your videos aesthetically pleasing and keeps viewers engaged longer.

6. Keep It Short and Simple

Keep your videos short (under 15 seconds) and concise. TikTok favors videos that people watch repeatedly or all the way through.

7. Smart Hashtag Use

Initially, I followed other businesses by using small business hashtags. This wasn’t effective. Instead, use unique hashtags that align with your products. Avoid hashtags that other small businesses use to prevent being sidelined.

8. Show Your Product Display

Show your products as if they were in a store. This makes it more appealing for viewers to consider purchasing.

9. Engage with Your Followers

Engagement is key. Respond to comments, hold down a comment to reply directly, and encourage questions. This increases interaction and visibility.

10. Maintain a Clean Space

A clean, organized environment enhances professionalism and viewer trust. Especially if you’re selling beauty products, a dirty space can deter potential buyers.

Conclusion

Here’s a quick recap: gear your videos toward kids, keep them under 15 seconds, use your voice, avoid guilt-tripping, never mention that your business isn’t doing well, and, most importantly, have fun with your content! Consistency is key. Once you reach a certain point, all your content will go viral by following these steps.

I hope this guide helps you crack the TikTok algorithm. See you in the next video!
