How To Make Viral Organic TikTok Videos For Your Shopify Dropshipping Store (Free & Easy)

If you're not using TikTok to promote your brand, then you're missing out on a huge opportunity. Right now, it's easier than ever to create viral TikToks that bring in tons of new followers and sales. All you need is the right strategy. In this article, I'm going to show you how I create TikToks for my own dropshipping stores that bring in more sales than Facebook and Google ads combined.

Remember to share this article if it helps you. My name's Alex, let's get into it.

Content Setup

I recently snapped a quick photo of the actual content setup I've been using for all of my dropshipping stores’ TikToks over the past two weeks. Here’s a breakdown of the backdrops, props, and good quality lights I use. I spent less than a hundred dollars, but these TikToks are performing so well that they’re bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars a month in revenue across all my brands. A very small investment with a very large payout.

If you're just getting started, one of the best pieces of advice I can give is to simply go outside. The lighting and vibes are better, and your TikToks will perform much better for some reason. Definitely give it a try yourself.

The Three Most Important Parts of Any TikTok

Before getting into the content setup, let's discuss the three most important parts of any TikTok video.

1. The Hook

The number one most important part of any TikTok video is your hook. With a bad hook, your video will always perform poorly. If your audience doesn't like the first couple of seconds, they will keep scrolling, and there goes any hope of getting on the For You Page. Without the For You Page, your TikTok won't go viral, and you won’t make any sales.

To create a good hook, avoid using the same saturated hooks seen over and over. Be creative and put in a ton of effort. Say something quick and interesting that will make viewers stay and watch the rest of the video. You can use a weird video to make them curious or say something controversial to drive them to the comment section.

2. The Offer or Call To Action

Your call to action is crucial. Without it, the audience doesn’t know where to go to purchase your product. They might do some research and find it from a competitor cheaper. You need to have a strong offer in your TikTok and a strong call to action at the end of your video to guide them to your profile and take action.

3. SEO: Captions and Hashtags

This is just as important as drop shipping. With proper SEO using relevant captions and hashtags, TikTok knows who to show your videos to. This helps find the right audience based on the topics you discuss.

Shooting Custom Content for TikTok

Gone are the simple days of using AliExpress videos. You now have to order products yourself and shoot custom content. If you’re not comfortable doing this, consider outsourcing it to a User Generated Content (UGC) creator.

Lucky for me, my wife is a UGC creator, so she creates most of my brand’s content. Here are some best practices for shooting your own content:

  1. Keep Each Clip Between 1-4 Seconds: Change scenes every 3 seconds to keep your audience engaged.
  2. Remake Viral Videos and Trends: Put your own take on them and use any viral sounds you can find to your advantage.
  3. Test Different Hooks and Add Controversy: Simply go outside, use some type of prop, or use a product photo box. It's easier than ever to start creating high-quality content for your brand in 2023.

Basic and Simple Formula for a TikTok

Follow these steps to create effective TikToks:

  1. Good Lighting and Backdrop: Either outside or put together something well-lit in your house.
  2. Strong Hook: Keep it quick and engaging.
  3. Remake Viral Trends: Put your own touch on them.
  4. Consistent Content Creation: Keep putting content out there; something will eventually stick.

FAQ

Q1: Why is the hook so important in a TikTok video? A: The hook is crucial because it captures your audience's attention within the first few seconds. Without a good hook, viewers will keep scrolling, and your video will not go viral.

Q2: What should be included in the call to action? A: A strong offer with clear instructions on what viewers should do next, like clicking the link in your bio for a limited-time offer, should be included in the call to action.

Q3: How important are captions and hashtags for TikTok videos? A: Captions and hashtags are essential for TikTok's SEO. They help the platform understand who to show your videos to, ensuring they reach the right audience.

Q4: Can I use pre-made videos from suppliers for TikTok ads? A: No, you should shoot your own custom content. TikTok and organic content are now the trend, and custom videos perform better.

Q5: Is it necessary to change scenes frequently in a TikTok video? A: Yes, changing scenes every 3 seconds helps to keep the audience engaged due to the decreasing attention span of viewers.

Q6: What if I am not comfortable shooting videos myself? A: Consider outsourcing to a User Generated Content (UGC) creator who can produce the content for you.

Q7: How can I stay updated with the latest TikTok trends? A: Scroll through TikTok each week and observe the best-performing hooks and trends. Use these as references for your videos.
