Dollar Tree & PopShelf Shop With Me!

Introduction

Today, I found myself back at my favorite store, the Dollar Tree! The reason for my visit? Mama Bean's birthday is just around the corner, and I wanted to pick up some of her favorite snacks, a birthday card, and a gift bag to make her day special.

Starting off, I made my way to the greeting card aisle. I was browsing through the options and stumbled upon a card that had the cute message, "It's not every year I make a lavish purchase for you!" This one could make a nice gift for Macy. As I continued, I found a delightful card featuring dogs, which I could also give to Grandma from Mason. The card proclaimed, "Have a wonderfully terrific fantastic super awesome day!"

Then, I spotted a card that would be perfect from all three of us: it said, “Hip hip hooray Mom, it’s your day, it’s time to sing and shout!” Complete with adorable fur babies, it finished off with “Happy birthday Mom, with lots of love.” I loved the idea of everyone signing it, making it a fun and cheerful presentation.

Next, I headed to the gift bag section where I found some cute options. While I was tempted by one that said, "Let the Good Times Roll," I needed a larger bag for all of Mama Bean’s treats. After some searching, I found the perfect size and even grabbed one with butterflies, as she absolutely loves them!

While I originally hoped to find painting kits at the Dollar Tree, I couldn’t locate any; however, I decided to pick up some basic non-toxic paints instead—purple, yellow, and blue—so we could encourage Mama Bean’s creative side. I even passed on some paper plates we've been using for our arts and crafts to give her a more authentic artist’s experience!

After gathering the art supplies, I was ready to find some snacks. Unfortunately, the Dollar Tree didn’t have her favorites, so I decided to stop by PopShelf next door. While they had all sorts of adorable bath sponges—a thought that made me laugh because Mama Bean wouldn't have really appreciated those—I decided to focus on snacks.

In the snack aisle, I spotted some Walker’s cookies, which Mama Bean loves and remembers sharing with tea. I also found some of her favorite Biscoff cookies, sour Skittles, and even Lifesavers! I was bound to make a delightful, tasty birthday gift that she wouldn’t forget.

Before wrapping up my shopping trip, I explored a little more around the store. I checked out the adorable notebooks and other merchandise but couldn't resist mentioning the beautifully seasonal decor items, like pumpkins, little thrill blankets, and rugs for the front of the house.

Finally, I finished exploring, and as I checked out, I couldn’t help but laugh at my own little joke—my personal “plan” for a fraudulent transaction—I'll leave you guessing what that means!

Thank you for joining me on this shopping adventure for Mama Bean’s birthday; stay tuned for what comes next!
