Day 29 Affiliate Marketing for Beginners Case Study

Introduction

Hello and welcome everyone! My name is Jian, and today marks day number 29 of my Affiliate Marketing for Beginners case study. As you may know by now, I conduct a daily analysis of my progress in this journey. For those who are new here, I have created a marketing funnel and signed up for an affiliate program, which I follow diligently by posting content every day.

I prefer creating videos since writing is not my strongest suit and takes much longer for me. By focusing on video content, I can share my thoughts and activities more quickly. I am using a program called the 90-Minute Affiliate Challenge. If you're interested in learning about affiliate marketing, I encourage you to click the link below—it's completely free! Consistency and persistence are key if you want to see results in this field. Don’t forget to subscribe, like the video, and feel free to leave any questions in the comments!

YouTube Update

Let’s dive into my updates for today. On YouTube, I experienced another slow day with just 242 views. However, my impressions have increased steadily, now at 19.7k. While the click-through rate remains at 0.7%, the average view duration is 1 minute and 11 seconds. Initially, my channel saw good growth, but it has been hovering around a plateau recently. I continue to post daily, unsure if my content might not be engaging enough or if factors beyond my control play a role. One thing I aim for is to be authentic in my delivery—no edits or cuts—to build trust with my audience.

Interestingly, people are finding my videos primarily through suggested videos (45.5%), followed by YouTube search (23.1%), and channel pages. I’ve noticed that the browsing feature is gradually increasing, which I believe is positive for potential virality.

Pinterest Update

On Pinterest, the metrics showed 880 impressions and 19 engagements today, resulting in 72 video views and 36 outbound clicks. I believe the outbound clicks could be better, especially considering the number of impressions I’ve received. The total audience has increased to 94 engaged users, indicating a steady, albeit slow, growth on this platform.

TikTok Update

For TikTok, I reached some exciting milestones. Over the last 60 days, I’ve gathered 5,312 views, with 152 likes, three comments, and 38 profile visits. That's a clear sign that my TikTok strategy is yielding positive results!

X, Tumblr, and Kora Updates

On X, I continue to gain impressions but lack real engagement due to fewer followers. Similar issues arise on Tumblr, where I have just one follower and no notable engagements. My experience on Kora mirrors this trend with only 252 views and one follower over 28 posts.

Instagram Update

However, Instagram depicts a more positive trend with 226 views, primarily driven by my followers. I observed an increase in engagements, which is promising for future growth. The consistency of my content strategy is key; I now have seven followers, up from five yesterday!

Conclusion

Lastly, the overarching theme of my affiliate marketing journey is understanding that growth is gradual. It’s not about going viral but about consistently posting quality content. Even if a video does achieve viral status, it doesn't guarantee monetization; what's more important is posting regularly and learning along the way.
